We're Dose, and we'd love to hear from you.

Dose started in 2009 with the goal of introducing Nashville to a style of coffee that focuses on the origins of the product, the art of the preparation, and enjoyment of the presentation. Since that time, we have grown to include a full-service kitchen, a bakery, and an extensive retail selection of home brewing equipment and freshly roasted coffee. We also added a bar program to our second location in East Nashville’s Riverside Village neighborhood, featuring rotating craft beers, wine and cocktails.

Dose is proud to serve a rotating selection of coffees from Counter Culture Coffee all year. Dose was also Nashville’s first multi-roaster coffee shop, and we have had the pleasure of serving coffee from over two dozen U.S. roasters through our “Featured Roaster” program. Past Featured Roasters include Intelligentsia, Verve, Equator, Panther, Terroir, Ritual, PT’s, Ceremony, Cuvee, Madcap, Supersonic, Gimme!, Barismo, and Olympia. Dose also hosts annual educational events with vendor representatives for our customers. Past visits have included a home brewing class with Counter Culture Coffee, a chocolate tasting with Askinosie Chocolate, and a chocolate and tea pairing with Rishi Tea.

The coffees we serve are lightly roasted and the preparation is methodical. Treating the coffee with this special level of attention allows for the unique nuances and flavor notes of each coffee to be extracted. This resulting terroir, or “taste of origin,” connects the coffee drinker to a chain of quality-control– from the farmer, to the roaster, to the barista, to the cup. Ultimately, we just want to make a great cup of coffee. That’s why we also strive to present our products in a friendly, accessible way that makes it possible for both the coffee aficionado and the casual drinker to enjoy.

There are few greater pleasures that pairing a little something sweet with coffee. But realizing that we couldn’t serve any old muffin next to a great cup of coffee, we decided to make our own. All of our baked goods are made from scratch and baked fresh every morning. Our bakery produces muffins, scones, cookies, and pies including a daily selection of gluten-free and vegan items.

In addition to our great products, we strive to give our customers the very highest level of customer service, and hope that everyone feels welcome and at home at Dose!
