We are beyond excited to welcome four, brand new offerings to the Dose coffee line!
In addition to our Signature Blend, Espresso Blend and single origin Costa Rica, La Pastora, we’re excited to bring you Ninga Hill (Burrundi), Tres Volcanes (Colombia), The Beer (Colombia) and the Purple Honey (Colombia).
While all four of these single origins expand on the foundations of the Dose line, three of these releases, in particular, bring everything full circle. On our last trip to origin, on coffee farms and cupping tables in and around Medellin Colombia, members of our team sampled the Tres Volcanes, the Beer and the Purple Honey. Andres Cardona, the producer for both the Beer and Purple Honey releases, even hosted us on his farm for an afternoon, and walked us through the fermentation process for the Purple Honey.

Because of our incredible partners at Methodical, and dedicated farmers like Andres, Dose is allowed the privilege of sampling, choosing and even visiting the beans that make it into our bags and into your homes. We could not be more proud of these additions to the lineup and are thankful for every piece of the puzzle that makes it possible.
So without further ado, our new coffees:
Burundi Long Miles - Ninga Hill
Produced by two sisters, Josephine Mbonihankuye and Frescesme Nicimpaye, who gained financial independence by cultivating the coffee plantation their parents left them, this honey processed coffee is a real treat that boasts rigorous attention to detail. Its unique, sweet, and well balanced profile is highlighted by a bright orange note that is rounded out by syrupy, brown sugar sweetness and hints of dried fruits.
While this might seem (and be) a more adventurous coffee, these tasting notes combine to form an adventure you’ll want to continue and a cup that you’ll find yourself constantly coming back to.
Components: 100% Burundi
Region: Ninja Washing Station
Process: Honey
Variety: Bourbon
Tasting Notes: orange, brown sugar, raisin
Tres Volcanes - Alejandro Ariza
Alejandro Ariza from Cuaca, Columbia is a young producer working with his family to cultivate some of the best coffee in the region of Inza. The name Tres Volcanes (three volcanoes) comes from the fact that Alejandro's farm is nestled between three volcanoes whose fertile soil yields distinct attributes to the coffee like yellow fruit flavors and beautiful floral aromatics.
Tres Volcanes is a beautiful and approachable offering from our friends at Unblended, an organization working in Colombia to mentor young coffee producers, like Alejandro, and make producing coffee an exciting and viable career path. Back in October of 2024, members of our team were able to take our second trip to origin in Colombia where we found ourselves at the Unblended cupping table. Time and time again, we kept coming back to this approachable yet complex coffee that offered a rich mouthfeel with hints of candied apple and brown sugar.
Tres Volcanes simultaneously offers all the comfort of home and all of the excitement of the unknown.
Components: 100% Colombia
Region: Inza, Cuaca
Process: Washed
Variety: Castillo
Tasting Notes: rich, candied apple, brown sugar
Purple Honey- Andres Cardona
Purple Honey finds its way to us from the farm of Andres Cardona in Santa Barbara, Antioquia, Colombia. Cultivating and producing coffee since he was just 12 years old, Andres now mentors young producers in the Unblended Young Producers Program. His passion, dedication and curiosity has led him to produce some extraordinary coffees, as well as push the boundaries of where coffee can go.
This exceptional coffee undergoes a 96-hour fermentation process in cherry, with sugar cane honey added. Afterwards, it is dried in a silo that provides a unique sensory experience and enhanced sweetness. Deep notes of chocolate and molasses that are silky, sweet and warm, much like a glass of wine, are rounded out by hints of hibiscus to make this a truly one-of-a-kind cup.
Another of our current offerings that we hand selected for the lineup after visiting Andres’ farm and seeing the Purple Honey processed firsthand on his farm, this is an excellent choice for anyone looking for an elevated and distinct drinking experience.
Components: 100% Colombia
Region: Santa Barbara, Antioquia
Process: Natural
Varitey: Castillo & Colombia
Tasting Notes: cocoa nibs, hibiscus, molasses
The Beer - Andres Cardona
*SPOILER ALERT* - No beer was used in the creation of this coffee!
The Beer is a collaboration between Colombian producer Andres Cardona and Doug Reiser, one of the founders of Burial Beer (hence the name) in Asheville, NC. Doug and Andres collaborated on the fermentation method and in return Andres wanted to name it after Doug to honor that relationship.
Co-fermented with the coffee's own pulp (the removed skin and fruit from the coffee cherry) and its own natural ‘leachate’ (juices) from the four day fermentation process, The Beer highlights bold, fruity tropical flavors. A creamy, malty base is enhanced by the cherry and fruit flavors that round out its inherent sweetness.
Components: 100% Colombia
Region: Santa Barbara, Antioquia
Process:Semi-washed, co-fermentation
Variety: Castillo & Colombia
Tasting Notes: malt, cherry, tropical fruits
