Call us ‘E.T.’ because we’re phoning home.
For the second time since Dose launched its very own whole bean coffee line, we are taking a trip to origin. Like last time, we are returning to the country of Colombia where we have found some wonderful products from farmers who have owned their lots for generations and vital partnerships like the one we have formed with the team at Unblended.
Headquartered in Medellin, Colombia, Unblended believes that ‘the pursuit of excellence and mastery is the only way forward and the only way we can dignify everyone involved in our industry. That’s why each coffee we design, produce, or source seeks to elevate the coffee experience at all levels -- from the intensity of the flavor of the coffee itself to the story the barista tells when they share a cup of coffee with a patron.’
Focusing on finding young farmers to partner with on existing lots (think mentor/mentee) we became exposed to Unblended through our first origin trip to Colombia with our good friends at Methodical. Their mission resonated with us and we have made a concerted effort to work with their team, farmers and coffees to bring our customers a cup that tells a story.
Currently, we offer six whole bean offerings through our online store. We have set a healthy goal of doubling that offering count to twelve in 2025. We want to find coffees that sustain every person at every point of the supply chain. We want to find coffees that taste good and do good. Every coffee tells a story and we want to be involved at every step, every chapter, as the story unfolds. And to do that we have to go back to the beginning.
We invite you to follow along with us on social media (@dosenashville) as we travel throughout Colombia, October 22-29. Come be a part of the story!
